When a player opens a heart or spade (majors), here are the support options that the pair has available.
Note: Below “HCP” means High Card Points, but “POINTS” means HCP
and distributional points.

opener’s major. Note that
the 2 NT bid is forcing, and
opener can’t pass.
2 C/D 3+ 16-18 (1) 4 H/S Responder has only told
(2) * 4 NT opener 10+ HCP.

2 NT, he/she does not
have 15+ HCP
